在此同大家分享John Lennon 脫離Beatles 後的單飛作品- Working Class Hero

在Beatlemania 時期，音樂詩人Bob Dylan 曾指出Beatles 的音樂還可以，可惜歌詞太膚淺。 這句話啟發了一直尊崇Bob Dylan的John Lennon，影響了他往後寫作的方向，令其後作品帶有隱喻性及社會性。
Working Class Hero 一曲確有Bob Dylan 的影子，同樣地用音樂向社會申訴。
歌詞中的"They" 大概是指Authority 。整支曲大概是道出仆你個臭街，我地為你地班仆街，做到我地仆街。除了不滿當權者，更不滿當權者濫用工業，形成工人長久與機械工作，使工人變得如機械一樣。可悲的是權貴永遠是權貴、工人永遠是工人，階級觀念使人埋沒了「我自己」這個概念。
而在音樂上，John Lennon 只用上數個基本的minor Chord 來串連，放棄中後期Beatles 的瘋狂混音音效 ，編曲偏向minimal，徹底地向科技及Machine say NO。
40年前John Lennon除了留下音樂還有思想。
遺憾是40年後的我們，我們是什麼。
今天的我們只向自己人工作出反思，你的人工最大作用是讓社會來標籤你。
今天的我們只依賴科技，我們不是依賴著它來生活，是依靠著它來證明你有生活態度。
試問有多少人是利用「它」來造就「自己」的創意。
